How to Use Skill Studio AI Gradebook
This guide helps admins track learner scores, manage grades, and ensure compliance across interactive courses. Use it when monitoring training progress, reviewing quiz results, or exporting grade reports for records.
Before You Start
A Skill Studio AI admin account with access to the BookOpen dashboard.
At least one published course with quizzes, scenarios, or knowledge checks.
Learners enrolled in courses generating score data.
Basic familiarity with the Skill Studio AI sidebar navigation.
Steps
Access the Gradebook — Log in to your Skill Studio AI admin dashboard, then click **Gradebook** in the left sidebar under the BookOpen section to load all learner scores across courses.
View scores by course — Select a specific course from the dropdown menu at the top to display aggregated grades, overall completion rates, and average scores for all enrolled learners.
Filter by learner or assignment — Use the search bar or filters to sort by individual learner, quiz, scenario, or flashcard set; apply status filters like "passed," "failed," or "in progress" for targeted views.
Review automatic grading details — Click any quiz score to expand the question-level breakdown, showing AI-generated results, correct/incorrect responses, and time spent on each item.
Apply manual overrides — Select a learner's score, click **Edit Grade**, enter the adjusted value, and add a comment explaining the change for audit trails and compliance records.
Configure grade weights — Navigate to **Settings** tab, assign weights to assessment types like quizzes (50%), scenarios (30%), and flashcards (20%), then save to recalculate overall scores.
Export grade data — Click **Export** button, choose CSV or SCORM format, select date range or course filter, and download for LMS integration or record-keeping.
Tips & Best Practices
Schedule weekly Gradebook reviews to catch at-risk learners early and intervene with targeted retraining.
Use color-coded status indicators (green for passed, red for failed) to quickly spot trends across multi-language courses.
Combine exports with real-time analytics dashboards for comprehensive compliance reporting to stakeholders.
Test grade weights on a sample course first to ensure they align with your training objectives.
Troubleshooting
Scores not appearing in Gradebook
Verify the course and assessments are published; unpublished quizzes won't generate grades. Republish and refresh the page.
Manual overrides not saving
Check for required comment fields in compliance mode; add a brief note and try again. Clear browser cache if issue persists.
Export file missing data
Ensure filters are cleared before export; reselect the full course or date range and download again.
