How to Upload SCORM Packages

7 steps

What You'll Accomplish

This guide walks you through uploading SCORM 1.2 or 2004 packages to Skill Studio AI. After completing it, you'll have your existing eLearning content integrated with full tracking and analytics.

1

Step 1 of 7

Click Create New in the dashboard.

This opens the course creation menu where you can import existing content. It allows you to quickly add SCORM packages without starting from scratch.

2

Step 2 of 7

Select From SCORM option.

Choose this to specify you're importing a SCORM package. Skill Studio supports SCORM 1.2 and 2004 ZIP files for seamless compatibility.

3

Step 3 of 7

Click Browse or drag your SCORM ZIP file.

Locate and upload your compressed SCORM package. The upload starts immediately, processing files securely in cloud storage.

4

Step 4 of 7

Wait for package processing to complete.

Skill Studio reads the manifest to identify the launch file, title, and version. This ensures proper setup for runtime execution.

5

Step 5 of 7

Review and edit course details if needed.

Adjust title, description, or branding after processing. This customizes the imported content to fit your training needs.

6

Step 6 of 7

Preview the course and open SCORM Debug Panel.

Test interactions and track API calls, CMI data, and communication. Use this to troubleshoot issues before deployment.

7

Step 7 of 7

Publish and configure tracking settings.

Enable progress tracking for completion, scores, and time spent, viewable in analytics. Set engagement unlocking for credit requirements.

You're all set!

Your SCORM package is now live in Skill Studio with full runtime support and dashboard reporting. Export as SCORM for external LMS if needed, or assign to users for training.
