Navigate to your course and select the Flashcards feature

Open your course in Skill Studio AI and locate the Flashcards option in the course content tools. This feature automatically extracts key terms and concepts from your training material to build study cards.

Select the content source for flashcard generation

Choose which course content the AI should analyze. You can generate flashcards from lesson text, uploaded documents, or entire course sections. This ensures the flashcards capture the most important material your learners need to study.

Choose your detail level for card generation

Select how comprehensively the AI should extract content. Options typically include quick overview (high-level summary), balanced coverage (important ideas), or complete detail (exhaustive). Choose based on how thoroughly learners need to master the material.

Configure card type and formatting preferences

Set your flashcard format—such as term and definition, question and answer, true/false, or fill-in-the-blank. You can also enable hint generation to provide helpful study cues on each card. Select formats that best match your course content type.

Select the Generate button to let the AI analyze your content and create flashcards automatically. The system will identify key terms, concepts, and definitions, then structure them into study-ready cards with terms on the front and definitions on the back.

Preview all generated flashcards to verify accuracy and clarity. Edit any card text directly by clicking the term or definition. Delete incorrect cards using the trash icon, and rearrange card order with arrow controls. This ensures your study deck is polished and error-free.

Add images to cards for visual reinforcement

Click the image icon on any card to upload or search for relevant visuals. Images help learners retain information better and make study sessions more engaging. You can also have the AI generate images from text descriptions.

Save and assign your flashcard set to learners

Save your completed flashcard set and assign it to your course. Learners can now access the flashcards in Study Mode, where they'll flip through cards at their own pace, mark cards as "Known" or "Review," and track their progress toward mastery using spaced repetition.
