How to Use Skill Studio Analytics

This guide helps you access and analyze training effectiveness data in Skill Studio AI to track learner progress and program impact. Use it when reviewing signup trends, onboarding completion, or referral networks for compliance and L&D insights.

Before You Start

  • A Skill Studio AI account with active training courses and learner data.

  • Admin or analytics access permissions enabled in your workspace.

  • Familiarity with key metrics like total signups, sources, and campaigns.

  • A modern web browser with JavaScript enabled for interactive views.

  • Optional: CSV export tool like Excel for offline data analysis.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Analytics page — Log into your Skill Studio AI dashboard and click the Analytics tab in the main navigation menu to access comprehensive views for tracking training effectiveness.

  2. Select a main view — Choose from Signup Analytics for user acquisition data, Onboarding Analytics for completion rates, or Network visualization to see learner connections and referrals.

  3. Review key metrics — Examine bar charts displaying total signups, unique sources, top campaigns, signups by source/medium, trends over time, and detailed attribution data.

  4. Apply filters — Use the filter panel to narrow data by date range, UTM source, medium, or campaign; click "Clear filters" to reset and view full datasets.

  5. Interact with Network View — Switch to the network graph to visualize interactive learner connections and referral patterns, hovering over nodes for detailed insights.

  6. Export data — Select individual reports or full datasets and click the Export button to download CSV files for external reporting and further analysis.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Place north star metrics like total signups at the top of custom views for quick glances during team reviews.

  • Combine date range filters with UTM parameters to isolate campaign performance accurately.

  • Regularly export CSV data to track progress against compliance benchmarks over time.

  • Use Network View to identify top referrers and incentivize high-impact learner networks.

Troubleshooting

No data appears in analytics views

Verify courses have active signups and wait 24 hours for data sync; check user permissions if still empty.

Filters not applying correctly

Clear all filters first, then reapply one at a time; refresh the page if UTM values don't match exactly.

Export CSV is empty or corrupted

Ensure browser pop-up blockers are disabled and try a different browser; limit date range for large datasets.

Network graph loads slowly

Apply date or source filters to reduce data volume before entering Network View.
